I'm in the middle of my week in Perth visiting the family, and enjoying the return to normality it represents. I've been writing blog entries, but when it came to posting them I decided that it's not really appropriate to post details of the doings of my family to the entire world. So the blog will be taking a week-long holiday from travel adventures at the same time as I do.
And yes, I know the site was down. This was related to the Great Debian SSL Disaster. I tried to update my server, but it broke halfway through updating openssh, leaving me unable to ssh in to do anything to the machine. And then when I tried to reboot, it refused to come up again. It's OK now though, I've restored from backups.
In a couple of days I'll be flying to Singapore and then on to Dubai, and with any luck on to Syria (I have my visa and everything, thanks Dad!) So there should be adventures aplenty to fill up the blog then.
